Heart of Oak (II)
They came and laid the forest bare
Each proud tree rent from the air
That leafy shelter once the hood
Torn from the face of that green wood
They came and bought their killing tools
To hack their mark into the land
The oaks now fallen majesty
Betrayed by a sharpened band
The traitor's knife in a fool's hand
