TO KISS THE LIGHT

The magic wood was basking in golden sunlight. The green trees bent softly
in the wind. Down at the clump of old oak trees, the fairies floated and
danced in a silver circle. They flew around and around about in the
air, singing a magic song that sounded something like this;
“Take my hand,
Let’s dance like the night,
Fly over the sand,
And kiss the light,
Kiss the light,
Kiss the light,
Kiss the light, and dance like the night…”
Their sweet song carried like clear little crystal bells over
the field and meadow. The dwarfs walked by down the old footpath, and
greeted the fairies as they went past. A few of the fairies only briefly
greeted them back, and then continued along with the others with the
song that they were singing.
Their music floated sweetly on behind the dwarfs who kept
walking in single file down the path. As the dwarfs walked on they
looked at the green fields scattered with pretty multi-colored flowers.
They whistled an old mining tune while they walked through the field.
The Ruby-bird flew past, and landed on the highest branch of a
tall tree nearby. Then it perched on the top of the tree and whistled
its own sweet tune in rhythm with the song of the dwarfs. The whole
magic wood was alive with song and music, and the wonder of creation.
Life was a melody being sung in tune with nature.
The valley was a place of mystery and beauty, where truth and
song always reigned. A few blue butterflies flew over the flowers down
by the creek. Above the sun shone brightly over the little world of
eternal peace…
