For You

My eyes are not the mirror you see yourself in
I fear that mirror has become distorted over time
Then I will be the maid who's duty it is to polish that mirror
To wipe clean your soul, let your vision shine free again
Your eyes will glisten
Your smile will light up your face
Illuminate the sun in your clouded mind
Shine through the blackness in your soul
These past 1000years have been the longest of your life
I'll plant your last happy memory in the Earth once more
And grow your confidence back again
So that the sunshine fills your heart
And your eyes see clearly into the light
In a room full of mirrors, I'll hold the grandest to your face
Until you see how precious, how beautiful a person you are again
There is not a pathetic bone in your body
There is only your heart tied to your sleeve
Fighting thick smog to be free once more
Let me bring you the Sun to light up your life
Imagine it, to be happy again
To feel alive for the first time in 1000years
At last, that freedom, that lift you deserve
You can smile now, smile forever.
