I see death all around me
It’s raven wings extend so beautifully.
Turning towards sacred grounds,
Searching ‘til there’s no one ‘round.
Looking outside at the cold rain.
The menacing wind sweeping up pain!
Holding on tight until it’s over.
Musing gracefully like a beautiful lover.
Fragments evading my grasp,
Illusive memories that wouldn’t last.
Over and over I have fallen
To find my one true calling.
Staying away like an exile
Afraid of being so fragile.
These past years making me bitter,
As the dark fog begins to slither.
