Goodnight moon

Close my eyes and say goodnight to the moon
then I look
into this room
that I share with you
it so soft and warm
and there’s our bed
where we lay our heads

climbing into bed
I hugs you
the sound of the night
is so quite

just in the distant
a radio on low
with some gently music
take us away
into dreamland
as we lay

in the dark
our minds start to race
and the worries
of the day
can sometimes
get in the way

then I look at you
and you look at me
our eyes meet
we see into each other souls deep
that love
that will ever more
be

the moon shine down
making
