Remember when

Oh I live next door to a couple
Seem like there been
together forever
they are so
helpful and kind
then one day
the husband got sick
he had test on test
and they doctors
never knew what it was

Oh that was only a few years back
yeah there have been up and downs
they still remember

both walking backwards
to look at a piece of art
at a galley
and they bump into each other
there eyes
met
that meeting was heaven sent

They had kids
they grew
then flew
then the grandkids came
Just day to day
A little bit at a time
there life was different
every day it seem
there was a mountain to climb
they reach the top
but they keep falling down
to the bottom every day

The days
goes by go
and you could see
how tired
they both were
With there family and friends
she care for him
till one day
he could not feel his hands
and she had to feed him
bath him
care for him
but when they look into each other eyes they remember when
