we wallk on a beach

we walk on a beach on a cold day

said things we had to say

we have not said them before

they been hiding in a box

that got cover in dust

 

oh we play love and laugh

know about each other past

been in the darkness shadows

in our lives

and came out the another end

and each time we got a little wise

about life i like to think

 

but we walk on that beach

and things have not been right

you think your always right

that what i say don;t count

that i don't know what i do

but look around

i am growing up

like you

 

sometimes a different place

and different time

a different space

helps us all

when we want to say

what we could not say before

 

all the things we done and see

i am not saying there were not good

but now  have you forgotten

that i have a life

that i live

that i feel

we all have free will

you can live my life for me

we can still be

who we are

but now the rules

can't be the same

 

yes we walk on that beach

it's want we had to do

hope that day on that most cold day
