when I mean what to pick to write, i mean you can write almost anything on this site ( making sure it is in the rules that is) but if your one day sitting there and thinking omg i can't write about the tin can banging on the floor or that snail in my garden or my dirty car with mud all over it. yes, you can. and we all know lt when the force hit you and something in your head said write me down now, and also just write write write, i love it when I get a comment as for me it like wow something like something i been doing since i was 12 years old mmm over 21 now ( well over ). now if you look for the outside box of some of the things i write. i am sure some of you might think i am a very sad person. i am not. it's just i can get into someone else shoes ( i sometimes look at my things on here and think omg they must all think i am very sad) but for me when i read a comment and it about what i have written has touch, someone, i feel bless it only me sitting at my pc ( that why if you use a computer a lot your handwriting bad lol) and i close my eyes and stories and word fill my mine. so go for it and enjoy it

Hi swindonwoody, just
Hi swindonwoody, just finished reading your piece. I agree that writing is fun, it's a matter of choice as to what thoughts take you to put pen to paper...or fingers to type. For me I like to let my mind wander, and once I have a theme to go on it's like a good addiction, I'll study up on the subject matter, it's a great way of learning too, and time flies.
I suppose it's a lot easier for me now I'm retired and have so much time on my hands for writing and reading, not so easy for those with young children, or people working full time.
I hope you continue to get many hours of pleasure from your writing, and enjoy abc tales, it's one special place.
Jenny.

As you say, you have to enjoy
As you say, you have to enjoy your writing, otherwise what's the point? When I eventually haul my old aged, retired backside out of bed in the morning, one of the first things I always do is my morning pages, when I do just what you describe - write about what's happening outside the window or in my head or what happened yesterday or what might have happened yesterday if I lived on Mars. Very little of it makes sense (even to me!) but it often gives me a laugh and sometimes some of it is worth doing something with. Hooray for writing what you like, when you like, and no-one is sad for doing it!
