You got to have a laugh

you got to have a laugh 

you got to have a smile

even if your laughing  on your own

you got to do something crazy 

not just sit there 

and say maybe one day 

I'll be crazy 

yeah you got to have a laugh

let it all come out 

let's hear a real belly laugh

two people might not find

the same things funny 

well ok 

as long as there is laughter in the air 

so get a custard pie 

a bucket of water 

or even a funny story 

told by your son or daughter 

or someone you meet on the street

just let it all out

yeah we got to have a laugh

a real belly laugh

and then your end up with a smile 

on your  face 

the world keeps spinning around 

and sometimes 

people are down 

but just take a deep breath in 

and let it out 

we all need to laugh

to brighten up our day
