As I dissolve, I start to grow
Feel limitless, floating, unfettered.
Letting go is the norm nowadays,
What is concrete to hold onto anyway?
Only love keeps me grounded.
Continuity nebulous, who was she
A day ago anyway? I hardly recall.
This ever-fruitful bounteous moment
Fills my senses with joy, so that I want
to sing and dance.
As much as my aging body will allow.
I push its limits and find they move with me
Just a little each time. Age has also
become meaningless, belief is the only reality.
Age is experience over time, moments
Given valence by our interpretations.
I no longer matter, am fleeting in my existence,
Present merely to be present, nothing more
Is asked of us, yet we fail to understand
A simple liberation we crave.
As I release yet more of my self
To the universe of infinite possibilities
And the joy of that union of self to one
Fills me with peacefulness, my driven nature
drops away, tumbles into dust.
Resting here in the eternal present moment.
We become universal in scale and consciousness
Yet still so utterly liberated by
awareness that we truly are
insignificant and empty.
