A man who could not see once went out for an outing to the woods with a stranger he had just met. They decided to have a picnic out in the meadow on the green grass under the tall whispering trees. As they sat and had their lovely little meal and tea the strange lady remarked to the blind man 'My, look at all the beautiful butterflies floating about all over the place.' As the lovely butterflies where wafting in the wind about the flowers in the fields. 'What do butterflies look like. I've never seen one myself,' said he. 'Why they are small insects, not much bigger than a fly, but they have much bigger wings, about two centimeters wide on each side.' She said as one particularly pretty butterfly landed on the blind man's outstretched hand and settled there. He knew not to touch it but merely left it sitting there all pretty all by itself. 'They have the most beautiful colored wings of all creatures great and small,' the strange lady told him, 'A kaleidoscope of color and the beauty of nature.' She assured him gently. Just then he imagined all the pretty shining colors of the beautiful butterfly sitting softly at his fingertips. It was a dream to him of the most astounding beauty and magic of all. He laughed silently to himself as he blew the little butterfly away gently from his hand like a kiss of love. The butterfly dream had come true for someone like himself after all. And it was true what they said, butterflies where free to fly. Fly away butterfly.
