We marched and marched, then marched some more.
We marched for peace,we marched to war.
We marched from home to frozen lands,
We marched the deserts burning sands.
We marched through fields of golden wheat,
We marched through towns and village streets.
We marched past graves of those who fell,
We marched past those we'd yet to tell.
We marched up hills with heavy loads,
We marched the lanes and open roads.
We marched through blinding searing pain,
We marched to hell and back again.
We marched through famine fire and flood,
We marched beneath the flag of good.
We marched and marched, then marched some more,
I think we'll march for ever more.
