As She Passes By

I smile as she approaches me,
Now she will speak, well Hopefully,
She took one last step close to me,
In a gentle voice she spoke to me,

She said hello and I said hi,
And then she left and just walked by,
Then I let out a very loud sigh,
And all I could do was wonder why,

It's been a month and seven days,
I've tried in about eleven ways,
To force myself, but I never say,
A choice of words in clever ways,

But once again I guess I'll wait,
And I don't know how long I'll take,
Before I scare off that fear I hate,
And finally ask her out on a date,
