Feeling alone without solace
a void waiting to refuel
reasoning leaves one behind
left with imagination
desire and wanting

My emptiness unabated
I try to carry on without
finding it hard to escape
the need to hear
breath and caring

Emotion bubbles in streamlets
from within my inner self
wanting the kisses
craving that silken touch
addicted and crazed

Why so glum and maudlin
that, even in my own thoughts
my answer in a few words
perhaps you want to hear
self-doubt and love.
