The Virtuous Dead

I want to be courageous
Tempered by belief
I don't want to be outrageous
Tempted by relief
I want to be determined
Forged by history
I don't want to be some vermin
Tainted by my greed
I want to be tenacious
Inspired by our dreams
I don't want to be audacious
Live a life of make believe
I want to be so patient
Like the mountains and the trees
I want the virtues of the dead
While I live and breathe
I want to be a better man
Than the man I am
I want to be the kind of man
That I believed I can
I want to be a stronger man
A man that understands
I want to be a different man
A man like my old man

Great stuff. A little stall
Great stuff. A little stall in the fourth line of the last stanza but then again I'm a bit cut and even seeing is difficult. Loved this pome and a cherry on the top too.... Ha, I could see that.
