As I wait...

I hope for a better tomorrow.
Wishing to see a better day.
Looking for a way,
to escape all this pain.

But for now,
I'm here to stay.
This pain will go away.
I have time to grow and learn.

As I wait for this pain to end,
I will find ways to hide my pain.
The person you think I am,
could not be me at all.
Though it may be who I truly am.

Sometimes my pain will show through the mask I've made.
I am not as strong as I want to be.
Knowing that I get stronger each passing day,
gives me the will to push on.

Still hoping for a better tomorrow,
I see my life unfold before my eyes.
Unfurling my leaves, I open myself to the world.

So as I patiently wait for the pain to pass,
I look forward to new adventures.
Living my life to the fullest,
I will treasure each of my days.
