Memories are forever...

Recalling our memories I smile.
Whispering your name under my breath,
I remember the day you left.
My sadness goes on for miles.

Though my days are filled with rain,
You're always at my side,
and I will never break my stride,
because I have so much yet to gain.

And I know that the end is near.
Soon the sun will rise again.
I will no longer be constrained.
And this is when I will shed my final tear.
