Disenchanted, lost and beaten,
madder than a fucking loon.
Running round like Buster Keaton,
howling at the fucking moon.

Tingling fingers, addled brain;
outlook bleak as fucking shit!
Panic attacks; I'm going insane,
wishing that my throat was slit!

Fuck the tablets, fuck this life
Fuck do-gooders and their smiles
I don’t need this fucking strife
All ‘poor you(s)’ and sad denials

It’s time to call a spade a spade!
It’s time to just accept it all
and fuck the ones who feel betrayed;
It’s MY fucking life; MY call!

And if this goodbye note offends;
Tough shit! I couldn’t give a toss.
I won’t be back to make amends
and that’ll be small fucking loss!

Yeeha! Love it! Love it when you get mad and get the bit between your teeth Chris! Some superb verses imo, especially the first and last. I do hope this is a bit of a fun rant or someone elses note and not a real 3leaf goodbye though :(.

Thanks J. This has nothing to do with not winning the 'Red dress park bench' competition LOL. It's just a coincidence, honest! Glad you got a kick out of it; have to say it could at one stage have been autobiographical but think I'm past that now (he says hopefully) ;)

Yea, I thought about that Jason. In the past I have been inclined to sanitize pieces in case they may cause insult and in some cases, not posted at all. The narrator of this piece could have been me a year or so ago; made redundant, nothing coming in, large family to feed, one guy going to college, the only post being letters with cellophane windows, already suffering depression. Everything escalated and this - on more than one occasion - was how I really felt. I was not inclined to say; 'Oh bother, poor me!' If I had put my feelings in words, this is how it would be. It's a bleak, lonely, raw, frustrating, frightening and lost place to be; niceties were definitely not applicable! Anyway, that's the reason for the 'f-bombs' and it would really not be real without them. Thanks for taking the time to come back, appreciate it a lot ;)

It is always wise to go with the visceral; this is clearly a rant and the language is appropriate for that reason. Careful though, as someone "from over the hwater, yiz kno' fayn that 'feck' is jist another adjective around the Liffey!" Ewan
