That Night

Kisses laced with guilty tang
but sweeter yet, for that.
Passion, coupling Yin and Yang,
or even tit for tat.
And as the blows for love were struck,
with lip or soft caress,
you stepped back and I stood awestruck,
as you slipped from your dress.
The heart, within my chest, became
a rampant, raging fire
and I was all at once aflame,
consumed with wild desire.
When you re-entered my embrace,
arousal was complete.
I swept you to our lover’s place,
no thought but to replete.
Oh, how we loved…and fed the needs,
and spent our give for take
and at the climax, planted seeds,
that caused the earth to quake.
We lay, two separate entities,
conjoined, as though but one,
for what had ended previously,
had only just begun.
Suns may fade and stars may fall,
and love may suffer slight
but you did capture and enthral,
my heart and soul, that night.
