At last, the wind doth blow;
dissipating the maligning mist,
the fearsome fog of ignorance.
And they have come,
hand in hand, with chins aloft…
and so they should.
Weary soldiers, home from war,
the hard-fought battle won,
but oh, what cost, what cost!
We stand, in awe,
imagining their pain…
as if we could.
Constricted cries of shame, for shame;
our guilty tears,
swept from burning cheeks.
beside the righteous flame,
that leaps, we crowd and know…
at last, the wind doth blow.

Hi, the title caught my eye.... I've seen this disturbing film and Sinners, I've read many books about children growing up in Ireland, it makes for heavy reading. At last their stories are told. R.I.P. to the many, who didn't make it.
