So, I returned from my adventures at the Big Church Day Out, and really hadn’t planned on ever going again, but I’ve learnt in Life to never say never, I’ve planned to make some drastic changes, G-D Willing next year, as I plan to stop doing craft fairs and do just festivals instead, to sell my Tie and Dye.
I was still none the wiser, knowing the names of the band members, who I liked. It was very frustrating, typing in the songs, and asking the question, “Who sang, Yours (Glory and Praise) Or Do It Again?” And just getting time and time again, “Elevation Worship,” Then one day soon after my return from the B.C.D.O. and listening to my favourite songs of theirs, I noticed, my research got me the information I’d been looking for and I got his name.
His name is Mack Brock, and if I was to describe his voice it would be, “Liquid Gold.” He sings the two songs I have mentioned above. He is married.
The second band member that sings my third and forth favourite songs called, He Is Lord and Grateful, is called Jonsal Barrientes, he too is married and his voice I would describe as “Gold.”
The only thing that was 100% negative about the B.C.D.O. was that there was NO signal there. phones did not stay charged for long, and my husband said he had tried to phone me, in four days he didn’t get me once! But to be fair, to the event, I was told by a co-worker on my return all large festivals have no signals, so I won’t hold that against them.
The second negative thing was the large blue bottle fly that I swallowed, to this day I can’t yawn without putting my hand right over my mouth, I’ve been scarred, I need to add that to my counselling, for I just can’t forget it, logic should tell me, there is no fly there now in front of my mouth, when I told the others in my group about the fly they said, “We too have swallowed flies in the past,” That didn’t help me.
But to end on a positive note, I was truly amazed how all the tents and caravans and their equipment’s were left unattended, it didn’t matter how little or big the tent or caravan nothing was touched or taken while the concerts and events were on. It was truly a magical place.
