I Beleive In Reincarnation.

One day when I was seventeen years old on a Sunday afternoon, something rare happened, I had the TV all to myself. Now back then that was rare to be in the Living Room on your own with no one else in it. I’d already been to my Place of Worship in the morning and would be going back for 6pm as was the norm every Sunday with Prayer meeting on Mondays, Bible Study on Thursdays and Youth on Fridays, this was my life from the age of fourteen but I’ve always gone to Sunday Worship twice a day from I was a baby.
I was brought up to believe in the Resurrection of Jesus and the Saints and that when you die, you didn’t come back in a different form like another person or an animal, you stayed dead until The Judgement Day, as mentioned in the last book in the Bible, The Revelations and I was taught this and ‘knew’ this instinctively to be true.
So, just imagine religious people you know now, or have seen on TV changing their views, to believe a different view, to how they were brought up.
So, I was privileged to have the TV and the Living Room to myself, for an hour, there were only three channels back then, I didn’t know what was coming on, as I pressed the button on the TV as no remote either back then, I saw a Mother telling the story of what she had over-heard one child saying to the other child in the bedroom, in distress, “I can see the blood coming out of your eyes,” As she was outside the room, she popped her head around the door to see the one sister facing the other sister, holding her face in her hands. The weeks before this event, the Mother had heard the sisters talking about things they couldn’t have possibly have known, because the things they were taking about had happened before they were born.
The Mother then went on to explain before these two sisters were born, her two other daughters had been killed in a car accident, one sister was older than the other, and then years later she had two more children, I think these sisters now were twins.
It was fascinating stuff! I was riveted to my seat, I was now old enough to see from a different perspective, and believe reincarnation to be 100% true! It all made perfect sense to me. I took it all in and accepted reincarnation to be a reality! It was a great feeling, of enlightenment, joy and Peace. I didn’t mention it to anyone in my family, I was at Peace and happy.
I joined my family for evening worship at my Place of Worship an hour or so later, I was first out the car and I was approaching the steps to the building, the first person I saw also approaching the building with me was a lovely local headmaster, and it was to him I spoke to first about my new revelation, I said to Mr Stevenson confidently, “What do you think of reincarnation?” He said, “It’s a lie from the devil!” In all the years I’d known him, I’d never seen him cross, his precious words snapped me out of it! And I knew he’s watched the same programme. That was all I needed to put me back on the straight and narrow. I never ever had any doubts again on the subject of reincarnation.
Many years later, my Daughter Meghan made a good point, she told me, “Studies shows that if you was born into a different country, that’s the religion today I’d be, and she (Meghan) too would be of the same religion,” I told her, “I agree, with the study, for every religion think they are the right one,” But I also added, “If I was born into a different country, I’d like to think as I got older, or went to university, and heard about other religions, that that I’d ‘find’ the religion I have now, the one that I’ve chosen to follow from the age of thirteen.

I was rather worried when I
I was rather worried when I read the title!!
There are an amazing number of things that fascinate to the distraction from reading, thinking about the clear message of repenting and considering the words and acts of Jesus Christ recorded in history, showing and saying he was God come to save.
That's what these other things do, just fascinate the mind and encourage people to forget to think about the true good news. Trying to find a way to God different from the One he sent so clearly. And that is what the devil wants in one way or another! Rhiannon
