I Hate Car Boots!!!

I hate car boots, the greedy people whose only aim is to rip you off, they never want to pay what you ask, it's always too expensive for them, “You will never sell it for that price” yet if it was theirs they would sell it for double what I am asking!!

I hate car boots, the same nationality that always wants it for nothing! Even 20p is too much for them!!

I hate car boots, their hands touching everything, trying to open sealed and new items, ignoring my sign, “New, do not open.”

I hate car boots, asking silly questions like, “How much is that table?” “You mean the one I am using now? It's not for sale, its my stall.” And, “How much is the suitcase”? “It's not for sale, its to put my items in when I've finished” and the silliest of all, “How much is the scissors?” “I'm still setting up!”

I hate car boots, my sign on my cars says in HUGE letters, “All items £1 each” many items sold, yet one silly person asks, “Can I have two for £1.50?” “No, if you don't want it, someone else will.”

I hate car boots, when you can't choose where they put you, cow pat every where, “They could have cleaned up the field first, with all the money they are getting from each car, we must remember to bring the tarpaulin next week!”

I hate car boots, “That's a really good book” I tell him, he looks disinterested, (we haven't done well today, not as many as expected here, I really need this sale) “I'll give you £1 for it, (sigh) “OK” then he shows after he has paid, his true colours by saying, “I've been looking for this book for ages!!! It IS a VERY GOOD book!!” He smiles at me and walk off with HIS bargain!! I was hurt for many days after, beating myself up, saying “Why didn't I hang on to it, there would always be next week or eBAy!”

I hate car boots, “Please can you keep this for me, I'm just going to get the money from my Partner” Yet most never return! And it's not sold because of them!

I hate car boots, “That is £1” they hand me a £20 note, “sorry, I can't change that, don't you have anything less?” “No, sorry” “I can't give all my change away to you.” So no sale there. Yet further down the line, some desperate seller WILL change it for a 50p sale!!!

I hate car boots, when other sellers expect you to sell it to them for less, cause they are sellers too!

I hate car boots, when you go with expectation and it rains!!!

I hate car boots, when something gets broken, or stolen!!

I hate car boots, when you don't even make your money back, from the entry fee, yet the people either side of you have sold everything and done WELL!!!
