Mum.

My Mum emigrated many years ago, when she retired. I’ve been to see her twice.
For her age, she is in good health, she has a bit of back pain, and her memory isn’t what it used to be. She has her Sister living with her, they moved and live together. I’m glad my Mum isn’t in a care home. They are close in age in their 80’s, they help each other and people there help them.
Mum rang me this week to tell me there had been an earthquake! WOW! That was scary, to think that, in a few seconds the things I worry about concerning Mum her back, her memory and general wellbeing, an earthquake could have wiped out some in a heartbeat!
The thing with an earthquake, no one is Special.
Thankfully no one was hurt, it was good to hear Mum’s voice.
