Perspective.

So, today I heard that my friend’s Daughter past away. She had cancer and was a young Mum. She’d had cancer for just under two years, she needed £85,000 for her treatment and £53,808 was raised.
My daughter said to me last year and again today when she heard of her passing, “I don’t get why Cancer Research don’t pay for the treatment needed in FULL! With all the donations they get, fair enough for research but they have SO much donations, I wish when people needed life changing treatments for cancer they could be given a chance, out of the cancer research money.” This was my reply to her, the same as last year. “I know they are VERY wealthy that’s why when I realized I had to pay them £25 for you and I to do the Run, and when I saw the thousands of people in the huge park, I saw there was a massive queue to donate, I decided I’d never ever again give them another penny! They definitely have a cure for a lot of cancer that people die from, but they know People will keep on giving, before their loved one had died and after they have died, they’ll still give hoping they fill find a cure.”
Today has put everything into perspective for me again, it’s good to be reminded once in a while. All the silly things I worried about this week at work….. fades into insignificant.
I can’t imagine how her parents who I went to school with must feel and Ann’s young teen daughter. Ann fought and fought, and a few days ago it was past to us that she was in a lot of pain! Today she lost that fight! Death is indeed our final enemy. Her lovely Parents would have held on to her tightly, but at this moment they can’t go where she is, she is without her Mum, Dad and Daughter. Rest In Peace. x

So sad for them. We are so
So sad for them. We are so shielded from death so much of the time in our society today, and probably many try not to think about it, understandably,. And yet it is expected, sooner or later, and if we grasp the life and sure hope Jesus bought, it is help for any illness, for the passing, and for loved ones left behind that should be the main concern and prayer.
