Quick To Take My Money!!!

So today both our bins should be have been emptied, and usually is. Yesterday we had a mini clear out and had collected three full bags of rubbish! I was chuffed. Both our bins were full, the rubbish bin and the recycle bin, almonst..... So this  morning before the bin men arrived at 07.30 I  put the rubbish that had been in the kitchen bin into my recycle bin, then I emptied the tiny recycle bin we have in the kitchen on top of that. I made sure the lid closed when I finished by pushing the contens down. 

A short time later I heard the bin van arrive and leave. I then went out to empty the cat litter and noticed both bins had been moved from where I'd left them outside our house, one further away and the other three houses down! It was good that both had been emptied SO quick, usually the gap between both vans is four to five hours! I went to bring in both the empty bins only to find the recycle bin had not been emptied! But why not? I wondered! This had never happened before. The Nurses five houses down from us often had their bins left, as their lid on their bins is often one to seven inches open! The stupid rule says, "The lid of the bin must be closed and the handles facing the road," if neither of these stupid rule is not done the bin will be left unemptied!

So I checked the other recycle bins near me, I could clearly see the Nurses bins full to overflowing and left but my neighbours bin was emptied and so was Mr Singh's opposite, I started to fume... why was ours left?? There was no one to ask, or to explain to me their stupid Council reason!!! I remember someone telling me years ago their bins had been left and they had took it to the Council offices and emptied them there!!! I wish I had the courage to do that, but I am older now, and courage seem to be failing me, but I wanted to do something, I thought I could empty it all out onto the street outside our house but we may get fined for dropping litter! Half the street would agree with me, the other half not!

Our recycle bin is only collected every two weeks so what did the idiots think we gonna do with our recycle items for the next two weeks! I've heard that most of the items that we carefully recycle all get dumped together and we were really waisting our time putting them in different bins. But we did it faithfully anyway. Our general bin is emptied weekly, and a lot of cat litter will again go into that one. I told my other half that during the week we need to take out most of the recycle items and put the rubbish I'd put in from the kitchen bin near the bottom of the recycle bin and put the recycle items on top, for maybe that was why our recycle bin had not been emptied! I just don't know .....

They are quick to take my Poll Tax Money each week by direct debit, yet when they choose they can decide not to empty my recycle bin without telling me why!! We pay enough for them to empty our bins!!! A friend who I work with who lives far from our house they don't have bins but large bins liners and they can put out as many as they like! It is all taken away, they don't have to worry about stupid bin lids and leaving an extra bag by the bins, its all taken, I wish ours was the same. The greedy Council. I don't like them today!!!
