Two Gods Part Two.

We were informed that the police could not do anything to move the Travellers on.
The Vicar went and had a chat with them, more than once, yet the deadlines came and went and they were still there.
Someone said, “You are all too soft.” I’m not soft but I’m not in charge. Those words got me thinking, if we went on the land, our land with guns blazing or with bombs, it’s us who would get into trouble, and what sort of an example would that send to the world at large? It wouldn’t be a good one but a very bad one, I can hear their judgmental words now, “Unloving, uncaring unforgiving and the rest.”
The group that some of us are in, it was announced that the Travellers had finally moved on, on Friday, the site was then made very secure with better locks and concrete posts.
I thought again about our Vicar who handled the whole situation peacefully and with grace, there isn’t much of that left in our angry World. And because of the Vicar’s kind actions, when the new building is finished, I’m sure in the future when the Travellers are passing with their friends and family, they will be happy to come in and visit us, as they left on good terms.
I’m proud of our Vicar, I for one would have done things very differently, but because of her, I learnt something new, Love in Action.
