Why Do They Do That?

I had bought my lovely knitted Diesel green gloves; they were SO special to me, that was last year.
I was always careful to put each glove in each of my coat pocket when I’d finished using them.
The kids annoyed me for they were always losing theirs, why didn’t they just simply either tuck one into the other or put them in their coat pockets!
We’ve all seen them, on the the wall, hedge, on the park bench or on top of the bins up Town; the dropped glove, kiddies sock or shoe.... but does anyone ever go back and retrieve/find them? I have always wondered that.
Then this week I was going out and knew it was cold, I put my hands in my deep pockets of my winter coat and only felt one glove! So I took everything out of both pockets, unbelievable, my lovely Diesel green gloves were missing! I quickly looked around the house, but I didn’t know how long it had been lost. I looking in my other jackets and bag, but nothing, my glove could not be found. But it was still cold and raining, so I decided to still use the one glove, the hand with the glove, would hold my umbrella and the other hand would stay in my pocket. It would have do, until I found another pair to buy.
Then when I walked to the bottom of my street there it was, someone’s missing glove! I hope they find it, I didn’t bother to pick it up and put it on the hedge, for what’s the statistics of it been found?
