You Got Lucky!

I wrote, ‘The Sweets,’ yesterday and in the comments was the words, “You got lucky!” But I don’t believe in luck, good or bad. I’m not superstitious, I taught my children when they were little as we approached a ladder, “You can see there is no danger, so it is OK to walk under the ladder,” I open umbrellas in the house, as it’s the best way to dry them, If not they will smell stale when I use it next.
I don’t believe in coincidence; I believe everything in planned and known in advance by G-d of heaven. I know and you know we have all seen bad things happen to good people, for there is a G-d and a devil.
I believe positive thinking and speaking can also be better for you than negative thinking and speaking. I’ve met negative people who make me feel down and fed up when I leave their presence, and when I’m in the presence of positive people, I feel uplifted, encouraged and energized.
For me to be one of the prize winners of a simple jar of sweets, was symbolic, I do not for one minute see it as luck, it wasn’t luck, but confirmation to go with the large cross in the sky, over the Tent Of Meeting, for once I’m and on board, then nothing, good times or bad can change my mind.
Before the cross in the sky, I only spoke negative about the move, after the building, that was knocked down, and I became just a bod on a seat, I wasn’t involved in anything there and wasn’t interested in anything to do with the future building, but since that amazing day, things changed, I am now involved and take part, I speak positive about the future building, which is going to be amazing for the Community.
I did want another, ‘sign’ and winning the sweets was it.

I've always been wary of
I've always been wary of getting worked up over raffles, and preferred where possible to give a donation, and worry about the 'gambling' mentality and getting really covetous about the prizes, which are often very big and 'tempting'. But we had quite a laugh when, I think it was that my sister brought some raffle books home (long ago!), probably from school, and that the idea was to buy a book or two, and my grandmother when asked bought one ticket only, and won a prize to everyone's shock except herself, who I think thought it quite appropriate having bought one ticket!
