Someone's Fairy Tale Dream

I can feel it all around me,
Like good vibrations in the air.
It's something that you cannot see,
Although you know that it is there.

A little thing called happiness
flares up in me when you're around.
When I first saw you, I confess,
You swept my feet right off the ground.

This might sound like a soppy love poem,
But, trust me, it's so much more than that.
This piece of paper is now the home
to all my feelings that were, till now, trapped.

Trapped in my heart, so full of love
that I thought I would explode.
Like an answer from above,
Always a prince, never a toad.

I sit straight up, open my eyes.
I scream inside until I feel
like lying down again to die.
Why can't you just, for once, be real?

You've always ever been a dream,
You're the perfect man in my head.
A fantasy of love supreme,
Without you, I'd rather be dead.

No one real could match up to you,
'Cos you're the real peaches and cream.
Pity the world's not blessed with you,
You're just someone's fairy tale dream.
