the imprint of your tongue
has relentlessly mocked
the hallow of my mouth whilst
carelessly leaving its secrets
under its underbelly.
once, during a yawn, they
spilled over my lips and
floated into the air like
butterflies. gently, they
flew away in search of
globe thistle.
