the body language of her pen
in full, white protocol: a graceful
kneel to a pause to full prostration.
she tenderly begs entrance
and permission to approach;
without hesitation, `tis given.
after a slow rise, she crawls
forward and, like zakat, lifts the pen.
belovedly there is but one first word,
Sahib.
