Life begins at Forty
Happy birthday Debbie
Here on the Village scene
I'ts quite nice when you're forty
I'ts a place that I have been
I'ts not a place you'll go again
No matter just how clever
It takes some time to reach it
And then i'ts gone forever
Life begins at Forty
Still living with you're mam
The support you get from your friends
You won't get from a man
The sort of places that you go
The Lettuce and the Hammer
The blokes are over Fifty
Or riding on a Yamma'
If friendship is the best you've got
Then grasp it with both hands
It's no joke with a snotty nosed bloke
Who has two pair of hands
