Blue Moon

Tonight
The blue moon calls me.
I can hear its silent, silvery cry
Through every wall.
I step outside
I kneel and drink it in
Every single particle
Of its frigid beauty.
In it flows,
Deeper and deeper,
And out again.
It runs through me,
Flows from
The tip of my finger,
Invisible ink
On virgin-white vellum.
Nox' voice whispers
Of laughter long forgotten
Oblivious vows
Alien dreams.
Imagination's breath
Gives ultraviolet words
The kiss of life.
And suddenly
You all rise
From place long forgotten.
You sing your songs
Of love long lost,
Perishable Promises,
Past passion plays .
We dance a
Sensuous moon dance,
Enfolded in
Black-blue Velvet
Shut-through with
Threads of ice-cold silver.
As comets fall
And shower us
With things
That were.
