Solving the problem of the day ( a response to the show adolescence)
Beowulf and adolescence are essentially the same story. The story of something from outside the society coming into and attacking that society.
Society needs its moral defenders Beowulf and St George are archetypes of the societal defences in human form.
However like Beowulf the story has a deeper and more challenging message that society its self created a very monster which prays on it.
Andrew Tate is a product of celebrity culture he rose to fame through the big brother game show.
A show which is fundamentally a popularity contest. A show that select outlandish characters in order to create a controversial narrative for the viewers to become engaged in.
Tate the is son have a highly competitive but emotionally remote competitive chess player he failed to make an impact on the show when his history of sexual assault caught up with him.
However he is a sociopath and simply took it as a learning experience an intellectual problem and applied what he had learned to gaining traction on the Internet.
Wealth and projections of material success created career based on controversy and the exploitation of insecurity. Having been a teenage boy myself I realise that teenage boys are highly insecure they want money they want status and a girlfriend all the things they don’t usually have at a young age and are biologically programmed to want.
These are very natural feelings for a young man in a competitive world. Though Tates third reich style exploitation of this has amplified in internet echo chambers the feelings of dissatisfaction in young men which is anything but natural.
Where as in previous generations were always defined by strong social connections these ties have been eroded.
In the 90s if you couldn’t get a girlfriend you talked to your friends about it . What am I doing wrong ? how should I change my appearance ? what bands should I say I am into ? And by the time you hit your 20s it’s solved .
The British working class culture was to go out on the pull on the weekend with your wing man. Some weekends meeting with success and others not so but learning how to take rejection and also how to develop healthy relationships with the opposite sex.
Things have moved forward for a lot of people in our society but for young men they seem to have moved backwards as they have lost their social network they used to rely on in terms of development. The Internet is a great tool but a useless master
The internet is teaching children how to think from a young age weather we like it or not This was previously the responsibility they should be educated by members of the community mainly the family , school , youth clubs and Allied organisations.
Freedom of speech is also a great thing but he’s very open to abuse the freedom to say something always has consequences adult conversations should be kept between adults and children should not be privy to them. I fear that our society is censoring the wrong people those who speak the truth are silenced while those who seek to spread hate and division and given a microphone by those in power I am looking at you Elon Musk.
