Just to say "I am sorry"

I know I did a mistake,
I did something which was uncalled for,
But believe me, it was all just fake.
I don’t have any explanation to give for what I did,
But to tell you the fact it was all part of a drill!
I was afraid, a fear which is inexplicable,
Or a one I don’t want to explain.
I know the reason and you know it too,
It is this reason which has blown it.
You took me as a friend,
But I blew it.
You trusted me,
But I blew that too!
At the end of the day,
I have realized my mistake,
I no longer want to behave like a fake.
I am sending this across to say to say three golden words,
Words which are sure to help.
I am sending this across just to say, “I am sorry”
A ‘sorry’ with a smile as well as sorrow on my face.
I don’t know if we will be friends for ever or not,
But till we are, I will be there to explain you, your own thoughts!
This one comes, some from heart and some from mind.
Saying “I am sorry” was the only thing on my mind,
But the heart speaks on its own,
I wish I had a clone!
The last line had nothing to do with the poem,
But it is sure to bring a smile on your face.
Also, you can fully understand rhyming each word requires a lot of brain,
Which I obviously lack!
I hope you will accept this,
And post in a reply.
But if you don’t,
Be sure that this creature won’t trouble you anymore.

I hope you will no longer be afraid to trust,
I hope our friendship won’t change,
I hope our relationship won’t change.
I expressed the thing in words that you couldn’t,
And as you said ‘Life is still going on’ “
