The Pig and the Fox (Fable) Once a starving fox wandered into a farmyard and a fat pig seeing the fox laughed at it, saying,
"Why do you waste your time living the wild life; chasing your food and being chased by hunters? Why don't you just live like me? Then you'd be fat like me instead of thin and scrawny".
But then the fox tasted the pig slop that the pig had to eat and said,
"If I could be content with eating pig slop and being slaughtered by a farmer then I would be like you but I'd rather be free".
Moral: Surrendering your freedom may have its rewards but are they rewards worth giving up your freedom for.

Two birds and a worm (Fable) Once a blue bird and a blackbird bird were fighting over a worm, tugging at either end.
"That worm belongs to me", said the blue bird.
