Is All Beauty A Kind Of Seduction?

Why does the moon, like Audrey Hepburn, beam
in the Chanel little black dress of night?
Why do clouds part, unveiling golden gleam
like Marylin’s iconic dress of white?
I know why the bee and me seem to be
enamoured equally by the flowers
and the beacon like peacocks tail tells me
of Mother Nature’s seductive powers.
I know why each infant is the sun rise
and why catkin soft kittens look so cute,
why the Puppy says “Hug Me” with wide, sweet, sad eyes
or peaches and melons moan “Luscious fruit”.
But why do I long to kiss all the stars
or cradle this whole Earth within my arms?
Do the bright stars seduce us from afar?
Is Earth saying, “Love Me” with her charms?
