Autumn Days (Seasonal Song)

1.
When Autumn weeps its golden tears;
its golden tears of joy,
I think of happy olden years
when I was just a boy.
On all the trees, the Autumn leaves
looked gold as they do now
but I, with bright young eyes, believed
they were magic somehow.
Chorus:
Autumn days;
though they look just the same,
it is our eyes that change;
the way we see the world.
Autumn days;
the magic of their flame,
it seems so new and strange
to little boys and girls.
But one day
leaves lose that magic glow
and then you just forget
how wonderful it seemed.
But some days
you’ll look and you will know
like when your eyes first met
that lovely Autumn dream.
2.
When golden leaves come dancing down
onto the Autumn floor
I think how many years have flown
that I shall see no more.
When all the ground was covered in
a carpet bright and gay;
a world still undiscovered in
which I could run and play.
Chorus:
Autumn days;
though they look just the same,
it is our eyes that change;
the way we see the world.
Autumn days;
the magic of their flame,
it seems so new and strange
to little boys and girls.
But one day
leaves lose that magic glow
and then you just forget
how wonderful it seemed.
But some days
you’ll look and you will know
like when your eyes first met
that lovely Autumn dream.
