The Autumn leaves have turned to red

The Autumn leaves have turned to red

but one day green, shall be;

not like my true love who lies dead

in land across the sea.

My true love went away to war

to fight a foreign foe.

Now he’ll see Autumn leaves no more

nor Springtime flowers grow.
