Autumn, To Some

To some, the Autumn season may seem duller;
to me, it’s misty, magical and mellow;
trees blazing with the most amazing colours;
a rhapsody in red, orange and yellow.
Some grumble when the sun begins to slumber
and only see the night is growing long;
forget the brilliant stars that, billions, number
or that the harvest moon shines bright and strong.
For some, the Autumn is a time for sadness;
for me, when lanterns glow and fireworks boom;
a time for childish wonderment and gladness,
for when your heart is bright there is no gloom.
