Autumnal Haikus

1
The trees are now bare
and the wind so dark and cold
and you are not there.

2.

Nature's paintbrush paints
all the leaves of the Autumn.
My brush sweeps them up.

3.
A fiery rain
of falling Fall leaves leaving
rainbows on the ground

Leaves curl like seashells
washed up by the sea of time
on Autumn's shore

5.
"Come see the Autumn",
I say, "All its bright colours"
but you left last fall.

6.
The quiet twitter
of Autumn birds; a glimmer
in nights dark jewel.

7.
Bare autumn branches;
spokes turning round and around
in the worlds great wheel.

8.
Shadows of bare trees
that are themselves black shadows
of Spring and Summer.

9.
Autumn putting back
together the red and gold
pieces of my heart.
