Badgers are bashful but beautiful creatures,
well known for their elegant, black and white features.
In hills, fields and forests they’re normally found
or in houses called Setts they build deep underground
and at night they come out just to badger about
and to snuffle for grubs with their black and white snouts
but they’re also ferocious when they’re in a fight,
so, if you meet a badger, please do be polite.

Quite quirky creatures,
Quite quirky creatures, sadly hated by farmers, but a nice read.

A lovely rhythm, and clear
A lovely rhythm, and clear content.I did find the last line just a bit difficult to keep the emphasis, I think I was inclined to want to emphasise, the 'so' and so stress the line like 'so, if you meet a badger…'. Maybe just a quirk with me, but if you felt the same you could just do 'if you meet with a badger, please do be polite.' or write the 'you' in intalics to draw the emphasis there.
Really do like the verse though and enjoyed it much!

You do what you like,
You do what you like, well-wisher. But I thought it was 'you', and maybe 'so' that you wanted emphasised. What I tried to say was without the emphasis, I found myself stressing 'so' and 'meet' which wasn't what I thought you wanted. I don't think I'm communicating well, sorry. You put what seems best to you! Rhiannon

sorry to cause you bother,
sorry to cause you bother, what you've done is exactly what I was trying to suggest, as it seemed the way you were wanting it read, and fits the rest of the lovely rhythm to my mind.
I'm not too good explaining myself obviously,
regards, Rhiannon
