Bases - A game inspired by baseball
- Player Two takes three cards from a pack of playing cards and lays them out, face down, on the table in a straight line. These three cards are the three bases.
- Player one places his playing piece on the first base.
- Player one rolls the dice.
- Player two now tries to roll the same number.
- If he succeeds, player ones playing piece is out and player two wins all three bases.
- If he fails, player one keeps the first base, which he has won, and moves his playing piece to second base.
- Player two again tries to roll the same number that player one rolled.
- If he fails, player one keeps the second base and moves to the third base. If he succeeds player ones piece is out and player two wins base 2 and base 3.
- Again, player two tries to roll the number that player one rolled. If he succeeds, player ones piece is out and player 2 wins third base. If he fails then player one has won all three bases and keeps them.
- Now Players switch roles; player 2 laying out three cards and placing his piece on the first base and rolling the number that Player 1 also has to roll.
- There are six rounds. The player who wins the most cards (bases) after six rounds wins the game.
Red and Black – Idea for a strategic/connection game using ordinary playing cards
- Red and Black is a connection game, like TIC-TAC-TOE or CONNECT4, using a deck of ordinary playing cards.
- One player takes both the suit of Heartsand the suit of Diamonds; he is the red player and one player takes the suit of Spades and the suit of Clubs; he is the black player
- They now take turns, choosing and putting down cards, face up, on the table/floor
- Each time a player gets three or more of their colour cards in a row then they win the combined value of the cards that make up that row.
- The ultimate winner is the player who accumulates the highest number of points by the time all of the cards have been laid down.
How the cards should be laid out
- A) The first card laid down indicates where the first row starts, both vertically and horizontally, it is the upper left corner of a square or oblong that will ultimately be formed by the cards and so a card cannot be placed above or to the left of it.B)The largest oblong, in both breadth and height, that can be made using a deck of 52 cards would be a 50 card oblong; 10 cards by 5 cards, but a 36 card square (6 cards by 6 cards) might be more practical. Whatever size you wish to make your oblong, when the last card of the oblong is put in place then the game is finished.
Off-Limits : Game of Strategy for 2 players
- Off-limits is played on a board with 100 squares.
- One player is The Mover. He has to try and move one of 4 green triangular game pieces (Mover Pieces) to the opposite side of the board.
- The other Player is The Board Controller. He names squares on the board that are Off –Limits and marks them with a red X shaped marker piece, this means that they are squares which, permanently for the duration of the game, cannot be moved onto by a movers piece.
- The Mover can move up to 4 squares at a time in any direction with any of his pieces.
- The Board controller can mark any four squares on the board at a time.
- The object of The Board controller is to surround each of the Movers pieces with Off-Limits squares so that none of them can move forwards.
- This game would work better with a digital or electric game board upon which the board controller only had to touch squares in order to mark them.
Strip – Adult Parlour Game
1. What you need for this game: Each player needs a pad and a pencil/pen.
2. Rules: Players write down what a hypothetical stripper is wearing. They can choose from these clothes – Bra, Panties, Stockings and suspenders, Skirt, Blouse, Top, Jumper, Dress, Shoes, Gloves.
3. Players must also write down what colour each item of clothing is, for example white panties; blue skirt; green blouse, etcetera
4. Now Player A says to Player B. “If your stripper is wearing anything Green she must take it off”. And if Player B has written down any green items of clothing, they have to score that item out and say “That item of clothing has been taken off”. Then player B says to Player A the same, “If your stripper has any (name colour) clothing take it off” and they have to score out any clothing of the named colour.
5. How to Win: The loser is the first whose stripper is completely naked and the other is the winner.
6. ‘Natural Hair Colour’ rule : At any time in the game a player has a chance to put one item of clothing back onto his stripper if he can guess the natural hair colour of his opponents stripper.
