1st Verse:
I was sitting on a sandy seashore
beneath the shade of a cocoanut tree
when I met a hula ā honey; she sure
showed a lotta Honolulu to me.
She was a girl with a ukulele;
flowers in her hair and a long grass skirt
and she danced and she laughed so gaily
that the little hula-honey stole my heart.
Chorus:
We made beautiful music together
as the stars tinkle twinkled above;
just like two songbirds of a feather,
we made the beautiful music of love.
2nd Verse:
I was skating on a lake in Moscow;
little snowflakes falling down from the sky
when I saw a girl walking through the snow
and that pretty Russian doll caught my eye.
She was a girl with a Balalaika;
Snowflakes in her hair and all dressed in fur;
Thought Iād never seen a girl quite like her
and decided to take a sleigh ride with her.
Chorus:
We made beautiful music together
as the stars tinkle twinkled above;
just like two songbirds of a feather,
we made the beautiful music of love.
