1.
One wet and windy Autumn day
As, through the woods, I made my way,
I heard a loud ferocious snore
And then, what do you think I saw?
Chorus:
It was a big, brown bear;
a big, brown bear
lying and snoring in bed.
It was a big, brown bear;
a big, brown bear
resting his big, brown head.
2.
So while that bear was fast asleep;
I, past his bed, began to creep
But just as I was half way there
My footsteps woke that sleeping bear.
Chorus:
It was a big, brown bear;
a big, brown bear
lying and snoring in bed.
It was a big, brown bear;
a big, brown bear
resting his big, brown head.
3.
Yes, suddenly that bear woke up
and, in a deep bear voice, spoke up;
he said, “Little boy, have no fear;
I am just a big teddy bear”.
Chorus:
It was a big, brown bear;
a big, brown bear
lying and snoring in bed.
It was a big, brown bear;
a big, brown bear
resting his big, brown head.
4.
So into that bears bed I got
snug as a baby in a cot
and cuddling that bear, I fell
just like him, fast asleep as well
Chorus:
It was a big, brown bear;
a big, brown bear
lying and snoring in bed.
It was a big, brown bear;
a big, brown bear
resting his big, brown head.
