1.
A pink blossom fell from a tree;
fell onto a stream swiftly flowing
and floated off up to the sea
and, there, met a pearl brightly glowing.
2.
The blossom thought the Pearl so fine,
it fell in love with her intensely,
It said, “Pretty pearl, how you shine”
which pleased the Pearl girl quite immensely.
Chorus:
Fall asleep; drift away
to where merboys and mergirls play
like the blossom and the pearl
your happy dreams will all unfurl
3.
The pearl and the blossom, were wed
in front of the fish of the ocean
their church, a cave on the sea bed
the sea swelled with tears of emotion.
4.
And then they both lived happily,
never once were they known to quarrel;
a peaceful life under the sea;
their pretty house made of pink coral.
Chorus:
Fall asleep; drift away
to where merboys and mergirls play
like the blossom and the pearl
your happy dreams will all unfurl
