Lovely sense of a held note.

Its not meant to be a held note but a bent note; something most commonly found in the blues and musical forms containing the D.N.A of the blues like jazz. Blues guitarists usually produce these notes by bending the string (Think Muddy Waters, Robert Johnson etcetera). Some of the enjambment represents 'blue notes', thats where the music shifts to a different pitch for one note before returning to its original pitch, something also commonly associated with the blues and jazz.

I also tried to represent sudden changes in music by a) changes in the direction of the words (vertical and horizontal) b) a change from lower case to capital letters ('moon MOAN' reminding me of the squawkiness of be-bop jazz) c) and giving an alternate comparison (the stars could be piano notes OR they could be the listening eyes of a jazz audience).
