The Change Machine (IP)

When they owned the change machine
then the world was frightening.
We lived with changes that they made
because no one cared what we said.

 

We lived with their earthquakes and floods
because fighting them did no good
and with change under their control
they slowly shrank our hearts and souls.

 

But now we're running the machine
we'll make blue skies and fields of green;
make changes we all want to see;
now change is finally set free.

 

No more will we, the future, fear
or extract Mother Natures tears
or reduce human beings to money.
Tomorrow's forecast: "It will be sunny".
