Colour Based Teleportation Magic Trick Idea –  A) Large Scale

Effect – 1) On a stage an audience see two boxes; a red box and a blue box, joined to each other by an arm that, when it rotates, will spin the two boxes round. 2) A Magician gets into the blue box and is locked in by an assistant. 3) The mechanical arm rotates spinning the boxes round so fast that they are a blur to the audience.  4) When the arm stops rotating and the boxes stop spinning round, the magician is no longer in the blue box but in the red box, as if he has teleported from one box to the other.

Method: While the two boxes are spinning they change colour. The red box becomes blue and the blue box becomes red but because they spin round so quickly the audience doesn’t notice the colour switch.

B) Small Scale - If this is unfeasible on a large scale perhaps there could be a small scale, model version of the two boxes with a ball in one box.

Gift item idea: Toolery – Toolery are non-precious items of jewellery that are useful tools -

1. Tool ring -

A tool-ring is a ring with various screwdriver heads on it  that you can wear and use to screw in loose screws. It is handy because a ring is something small and not too conspicuous that you can wear at all times. It could have other tools on it apart from screwdrivers but my inspiration was a loose screw in a doorhandle.

     2. Tool pendant –

Could be presented with the tool ring as part of a gift set. The Tool pendent would be a pendent with interchangeable screw heads or other tool-heads (An Allen key head for example).  The pendant could also be magnetic for picking up dropped items.

  (Optional)  3. Escape cutting tool bracelet – A bracelet with a hacksaw like edge upon might be useful if you are ever tied up or tangled up accidentally and have to escape. Although there is no guarantee that it would do a perfect job; in a desperate situation it might be better than nothing.

Toy Idea – Six jigsaws in 1 using cube pieces

1.This is a type of jigsaw made from cubes. Each face of the cubes has a different picture printed on it thus by buying just one of these jigsaws you get six different pictures you can make.  (It’s probably not much of an idea but I really like the thought of kids getting more for their money;  3 toys for the price of 1 rather than having to buy three separate toys. That’s why I like Japanese ‘Transformers’ toys, they were originally a ‘2 toys for the price of 1’ idea’.

2. This would be most ideal I think for little children, particularly if the cubes were the size of alphabet blocks.

3.  Example of six pictures on a children’s version -  Face 1 – Fairytale castle; Face 2- Farm with animals; Face 3 – Space rocket on the moon;  Face 4 – Under sea scene with octopus; Face 5 – Jungle scene with animals; Face 6 – Acrobats and clowns at the circus

Toy/Novelty idea: Fortune telling flickerbook –

1. You have a traditional flickerbook (A book that relies upon ‘Persistence of vision’ to create the illusion of movement as its pages are flipped).
2. But also, at the bottom of each page is printed a different fortune.
3. Thus, depending upon where you stop in the flickerbook you get a different fortune and, therefore, it is like Bibliomancy (opening books at random pages for the purpose of divination).
4. What makes the idea cool is the pictures in the flickerbook would be mystical symbols likea revolving, colour changing Taoist “Yin-Yang” symbol  or a rotating Hindu Chakra wheel or an opening Eye of Horus or a rotating, opening Buddhist lotus blossom or a Pentacle perhapsand thus the addition of movement would give the mystical symbols a ‘magical’ quality.
5. Because Flickerbooks are already a common ‘stocking filler’ item, I think such books would be a great novelty gift and as popular as fortune cookies maybe.

Also: The lottery Identifier – A fool proof but inconspicuous
way for a spy to recognize and meet a contact

A spy poses as someone running a raffle or lottery involving
hundreds of numbers. Only his contact knows exactly what the winning numbers
are and simply approaches the spy to, like everyone else, guess the numbers
and, by giving him the exact winning numbers, identifies himself as the contact.

Toy idea – “Plastiland” Toy-Civilians: Non-military (and unisex) “toy soldiers” –

1. These are like plastic Toy Soldiers but they are ‘Toy Civilians’ aimed at both girls and boys. (By toy soldiers I mean those boxes of, usually green, plastic models with fixed bases that have been a popular boys toy for decades. I want to take them out of uniform and make them for everyone).
2. My idea is to make them in lots of unisex, non-military forms such as, “Fairy Tale”; “Arabian nights”; “Victorian manor house: Victorian servants and aristocrats”; School Teachers and pupils; hospital doctors and nurses and patients (and porters, administrators); police men and woman (and also police dogs); Whodunnit Detective and suspects (so that kids can make up their own detective stories); courthouse set with Jury, Judge and lawyers; also movie tie-ins with all principle movie characters represented in “Toy soldier” form; Toy Orchestra for kids interested in music; Toy ballet company (figures in all the various ballet poses) for girls interested in ballet; Toy rock band with manager, fans, papparazi etcetera; Toy filmset with stars, director, camera men and all the other members of a film crew; Toy Classic Ghosts and monsters (for Halloween to go with haunted house playset) ; Toy native American tribes based on real tribes not stereotypes; Toy native jungle tribes representing actual real native tribes complete with anthropologists. Toy neolithic European tribes(Cave people). Toy Circus Ringmaster, Clowns, Jugglers; Acrobats and animals.  Basically; “Toy soldierize” all areas of life and human interest to appeal not just to boys but to girls too.
3. Another big difference of these “toy soldiers”, and what would make them more appealing to both boys and girls is that they should be full colour and not green or grey like a lot of traditional toy soldiers.
4. And once you sell kids the idea of the figurines themselves you can sell playsets to place them in and vehicles or other accesories; for example a classroom for the teacher and children or a hospital ward for the doctors and nurses; or a police station complete with lockable cells or a Toy stage for the Toy ballerinas
5. Why these would appeal to all children- As a child, I felt that it was thrilling to get a complete box of dolls with different characters rather than having to buy action figures separately and individually and I feel that little girls would get the same enjoyment if they received a complete box of ballerinas or a complete box of fairy tale characters that little boyshave, for decades got, from receiving a complete box of soldiers.

Extension of “Plastiland” - Landscapes Playsets-

1)Landscapes is a line of toys, using models and trays filled with different coloured non-toxic powder,  to make different landscapes to place models in.

2) Examples –

Desertscape1 (Arabian Nights) – Comes with tray and sandy coloured powder  and toy rocks, boulders to represent a desert; toy camel; toy genie; toy palace; toy caliph; toy vizier/magician; toy princess/ flying carpet; toy prince/aladdin

3) Basically, Landscapes is like a playset, complete with toys, that looks realistic. I think that children would get more pleasure out of this than a normal play set because of the added realism.

Toy Idea: Toy Genie of the lamp with Haze Machine/ Holographic Projector

This is a combination of holographic projector and haze machine that, when it is touched by a child, sprays mist into the air and projects an animated holographic genie onto it.

Robot Idea: Fire breathing dragon robot

This is a robot that has a haze machine and holographic projector in its mouth and sprays out mist whilst projecting holographic smoke and flames onto it.

Conjuring Idea: Vanishing Girl In A Shower Cubicle Stage Illusion

Put a haze machine in the floor of a shower cubical and spray mist upwards then holographically project a woman taking a shower. The mist from the haze machine could be dismissed as steam from the shower. Then, to make the woman disappear, draw a shower curtain round the cubicle, switch off the hologram and pull back the shower curtain to show that she’s vanished.

Weapon Idea: Holographic Smoke Screen

Spray mist into the air then project a hologram upon it to hide behind. It might be going too far to suggest that you could project objects such as trees or boulders and houses to hide behind but you could create a holographic fog perhaps that any enemy can’t see through.

Outdoor Holographic Communicator/beacon/signal (like Batman’s bat signal)-

This is like native American smoke signals but instead of smoke a haze machine sprays mist up in the air and then projects a holographic symbol on it.

Submarine hologram projector

A submarine beneath the surface of the water sprays mist into the air and projects a ghost ship above it or a whale or a sea monster or a mermaid; Jesus walking on water

Cloud Drone

This is a flying drone that sprays mist round about it and then projects a hologram of a cloud round it so that it looks like a cloud formation.
